KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Altys have initiated negotiations concerning the potential takeover by Altys of the facility services of KLM. Within the scope of KLM's restructuring measures, a study was conducted in recent years into the option of outsourcing KLM Facility Services. KLM does not consider the facilities business a core activity.

Altys forms part of the Sodexho Alliance, the world's biggest catering concern, which has taken care of catering for KLM's staff restaurants for several years.
KLM Facility Services informed its staff of the current developments this morning.
