Passenger activity
In July 2008, traffic rose by 1.8% with capacity up 3.9%. The load factor stood at 84.4%, down 1.8 points. Air France-KLM recorded good progress in yield and unit revenue excluding currency impact, driven by business traffic. The group carried 7.1 million passengers (-0.3%).
- On the Americas network, traffic rose by 4.2% with capacity up 5.2%. The load factor was maintained at the high level of 88.4% (-0.9 points).
- The Asia network saw a 2.1% rise in traffic with capacity up by 5.5%. The load factor declined by 2.8 points but was still at the high level of 87.1%.
- On the Africa and Middle East network, traffic increased by 3.1% with capacity up by 2.2%. The load factor gained 0.7 points to 85.9%.
- The Caribbean and Indian Ocean network saw a 4.3% decline in traffic with capacity up by 1.5%. The load factor stood at 82.8% (-5.0 points).
- On the European network, traffic declined slightly (-0.4%) with capacity up by 2.6%. The load factor fell 2.3 points to 75.8%.
Cargo activity
In July 2008, cargo traffic was down 4.1% with capacity up 1.0%. The decline in traffic was primarily related to Asia and in particular the impact of the Olympic Games in China. The load factor declined 3.3 points to 62.1%.
