Corporate social responsibility is high on AIR FRANCE KLM's agenda. In fact, KLM is a leader in the airline industry. In our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report, published recently, you can find a great number of concrete actions and initiatives that have already been undertaken and more plans for the future.

Success brings new responsibilities, not only economic ones; also in terms of the society and environment. For this reason, AIR FRANCE KLM has assumed a number of initiatives to take on the issue of climate change. To name just a few, we will continue to renew the fleet, endorse research into improving fuel efficiency, we continue to be fervent proponents of the Kyoto Protocol and the European Union Emission Trading Scheme.

KLM has already initiated a variety of innovative, low-impact measures that have set the community talking. These include Engine Water Wash, which keeps aircraft engines cleaner so they use less fuel, and KLM's contract with the Worldwide Fund for Nature which supports far-reaching measures to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and create emission compensations.
